For One-Night only, Old Town Center For The Arts will host two guitar greats. Joining together, for the first time, the combined talents of world-famous classical guitar legend Esteban, and world-class virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist Anthony Mazzella on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 pm.

What's more thrilling than seeing a celebrated guitarist dazzle their audience with finely-crafted guitar gems born of pure inspiration and decades-long dedication? Seeing two guitar legends performing together for the first time!

Born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of a steelmill worker, Esteban saw his first guitar in a shop window when he was 8 years old. His uncle bought it for him and Esteban says, “It never left my hands.” His name was given him by legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia, who called him “Esteban” during his years of study with the master in Spain (1974-1978) and in the United States. From that moment on, he focused on the guitar, teaching himself to play and practicing every spare moment.

Esteban’s dream was to be able to express his deep inner feelings through his music. He wanted to study with legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia. After a relentless pursuit in Los Angeles, Segovia finally permitted Esteban to play for him in 1974.

Since then to the present day, Esteban has topped the Billboard charts many times with his numerous albums, videos and DVD’s, and has had first-time music history successes never before accomplished by any guitarist. He has been on the front page of the Wall Street Journal for his famous appearances and record-setting album sales. His concerts are memorable moments of the heart, and whether he performs solo or with his band, the reviews are sensational and the experiences exceptional.

Anthony Mazzella is one of the most virtuosic and passionate guitar players in the world today. His performance career began in New York at Manhattan’s Café Wah, Birdland, CBGB’s and the famous Blue Note, and he has spent years touring the U.S. and world stages as a soloist and as the concert guitarist for world music master Omar Faruk Tekbilek. Anthony’s original guitar music is composed with a fusion of world influences consisting of acoustic and electric finger-style, classical, flamenco, jazz, funk, R&B, Celtic, ambient, rock, medieval & near-eastern styles. Anthony is considered to be among the top guitarists performing in the world today.

Anthony’s original guitar music is composed with a fusion of world influences consisting of acoustic and electric finger-style, classical, flamenco, jazz, funk, R&B, Celtic, ambient, rock, medieval & near-eastern styles. He has opened for headlining artists, James Brown, Tower of Power, The Commodores, and Spyro Gyra. He has recorded six award winning albums, including four solo efforts: Electric Fingerstyle Guitar, Unity, Heavenly Guitar and Ritual. His collaboration with Chris Spheeris, BRIO, won “best acoustic instrumental album of 2001” by NAV, and the self titled “Electric Harp Guitar Group” CD with William Eaton and Fitzhugh Jenkins was selected as one of the top 25 albums of 2007 by Echoes syndicated radio program.

On April 4th treat yourself to a musical feast for the ears, with timeless classics and original music. Take part in this one-of-a-kind, never-before-seen musical match-up of esteemed guitarists Esteban and Mazzella.
